ISLAMABAD:June 30, 2021 According to the Pakistan Army, terrorists from Afghanistan opened fire on a Pakistani security check post on the Pak-Afghan border, killing two soldiers.
According to the Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorists targeted a border check post in Datoi District, North Waziristan, in response to which the Pakistan Army retaliated.
The statement said that two soldiers were martyred during the exchange of fire.
According to ISPR, the martyred soldiers were identified as 43-year-old Hawaldar Saleem Omar and 35-year-old Lance Naik Pervez Omar.
ISPR said that Pakistan has consistently demanded from Afghanistan to ensure effective border control.
