The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has adopted a resolution reaffirming right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people in accordance with the UNSC resolutions.

The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah presided over the meeting.
Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sartaj Aziz, represented Pakistan at the meeting.
Speaking on this occasion, he underlined the significance of the OIC as common platform to address problems of the Muslim Ummah including the disputes of Palestine, Jammu and Kashmir, Cyprus, Nagorno-Karabakh and Rohingya Muslims.
Talking about Jammu and Kashmir, Sartaj Aziz said that it is one of the oldest international disputes to be resolved at the UN forum.
Sartaj Aziz also reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong support to the legitimate Palestinian struggle to recover their occupied territories and condemned the recent Israeli attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque complex. He urged the United Nations to act against Israel’s breach of this Holy Muslim site.
