President of Azad Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan has arrived in Brussels on Monday on a three-day visit to Belgium. A delegation of office bearers of Kashmir Council EU headed by Mr Ali Raza Syed received the president at Brussels’ airport. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium Naghmana Hashmi was also present on the occasion.
Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU) has all set to commence a three-day program on Kashmir in Brussels on Monday. The program is being launched on arrival of the President Masood Khan in Brussels. The President is visiting European Headquarters Brussels on invitation of KC-EU.
During his three-day stay in Brussels, the President Masood Khan would have meetings with high ranking European officials including authorities of EU Commission and EU parliamentarians. On first day of his tour, the AJK’s President would address a gathering on a dinner entitled, “Struggle on Kashmir in Europe” to be attended by Pakistani and Kashmir diaspora and European officials. Kashmir Council EU arranged the gathering in order to highlight struggle on Kashmir issue in European continent.
The President would also participate as a Chief Guest in a conference entitled; “Kashmir Conflict and International Opinion” at EU parliament in Brussels on 7th February (Tuesday). The conference would be arranged by Kashmir Council EU with collaboration of Friends of Kashmir Group in EU parliament.
Beside important meetings in Brussels, the President would also address a press conferences in European Press Club in Brussels.
Visit of AJK’s President to Brussels which started a day after Kashmir Solidarity Day, is being termed an important event. Chairman Kashmir Council EU Mr Ali Raza Syed said, the visit would have positive results in connection with Kashmir issue.
He urged EU to play effective role on Kashmir issue. “EU is an important block and we expect EU to use its influence in order to stop atrocities against Kashmiris for a suitable resolution of Kashmir problem according to wishes of Kashmiris
