30 killed in Indian Occupied Kashmir


Sri Nagar:(APS)July 11, 2016-The death toll in the ongoing killing spree unleashed by Indian troops has risen to 30 in Occupied Kashmir.

Over 400 people including teenage boys have also been injured in firing by Indian forces’ personnel on people mourning the extra-judicial killing of the Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Burhan Muzaffar Wani.

The toll is sharply on the rise as people in defiance of curfew and other restrictions continue to come out of their houses and protest against the killing spree unleashed by Indian forces.

Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a joint statement issued in Srinagar, today, extended the joint call for the strike for another two days from tomorrow.

They appealed to the international community to respect the freedom sentiments of people of Kashmir and play its role in settlement of the Kashmir dispute as per relevant resolution of the United Nations.

On the other hand, India has rushed to deploy sixteen additional companies of Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force and police in different parts of the Kashmir valley to suppress the protests erupted in the wake of killing of Burhan Wani.

The Amnesty International has urged Indian authorities to ensure that people injured in firing by Indian forces have access to medical assistance, and medical professionals should have freedom to carry out their work without interference.

The Amnesty International in a statement asked forces to not use live ammunition and pellet-guns on protesters.
