ISLAMABAD:(APS) October 18, 2016- Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) of Islamabad has nabbed two auto-thieves and recovered three stolen vehicles from their possession, a police spokesman said.
He said that SP Investigation Muhammad Ilyas constituted a team to trace aut-thieves under the supervision of Liaqat Ali SI in-charge ACLC Sub- Inspector Liaqat Ali which also included ASIs HabibUllah, Noor Ullah and others.
This team worked hard and apprehended two car lifters identified as Rizwan s/o Shaokat resident of Dhok Choudrian Misrial road Rawalpindi and Abdul Majid s/o Arshad Mahmood resident of Tehsil Hazro District Attock.
Both the car lifters confessed to have stolen over 150 vehicles from districts Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Jehlum, Chakwal and across Punjab. During investigation, police team recoveredthree stolen vehicles from them bearing registration numbers AFD-529, ZW-663 and LZU- 6695. It is pertinent to mention that 11 kg hashish was recovered from their vehicle (LEC9126) which is also in police custody.
Further investigation is underway from them. SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani has appreciated this performance and announced commendation certificates along with cash reward for SIU team.
