ISLAMABAD:(APS) February 28, 2016- Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Islamabad Police has arrested eight outlaws from various of the city for their alleged involvement in dacoities, burglaries, street crime and recovered stolen valuables, cash worth millions of rupees, stolen vehicle, electronic equipment and weapons from them.
According to details, SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani assigned the task to SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas to ensure the arrest of those involved in few crime cases of heinous nature. SP (Investigation) constituted special team including DSP CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon, Sub-Inspectors Shamas ul Akbar, Muhammad Azam Sahi, Assistant Sub-Inspectors Suleman Shah, Muhammad Akram Ranja and others. Police team started investigation into various cases after using all technical expertise as well as professional attitude and succeeded to nab eight persons for their alleged involvement in dacoities, burglaries, street crime and fraudulent activities.
Three dacoits arrested by this team were identified as Tasawar Hussain alias Kalu, Abbass Ali residents of Kamuki district Gujrawala and Imran alias Mani who were found involvement in various criminal activities in Islamabad. They confessed to commit dacoities at the houses of Ali Nawaz, Ramazan Sajid Additional Director NAB, Ghulam Rasool Leghari, Ahmed Raza Khan, Sajid Basheer and Naveed Hussain Shah residents of sector G-9/2, Syed Adeel Haider resident of sector G-8/1. More than one dozen dacoities were confessed by them in sectors G-9/2, G-10/2 and G-10/3.
One of the accused Bilal Hussain resident of Dhok Malia Rawalpindi was nabbed who cheated a car seller Pervaiz and sped away on his vehicle when the seller went along with him to Excise and Taxation Office (ETO) for verification of documents. The accused sold this vehicle (Prius) at a showroom in Lahore against Rs. 900,000 and police have recovered this amount as well as vehicle from him while he also confessed to commit similar incident in the area of Karachi Company police station.
Four other nabbed persons have been identified as Sajjad, Mohib, Sajid Mehmud residents of Islamabad and Farhan resident of Havelian and they were found involved in burglaries and dacoity incidents.
In addition, recovery made by police from these nabbed persons included 16 mobile phones, four LEDs, two computers, three heaters, 20 suits, three 30 bore pistols and several other looted items.
SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this overall performance of SIU police team and announced cash prizes as well as commendation certificates for policemen in this team.
