Security personnel to adopt self-protecting measures for better performance: SSP

ISLAMABAD:(APS) February 22: Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Sajid Kiani has asked the personnel of Islamabad Police and Rangers to ensure protecting measures for themselves during duty as such steps are helpful to accomplish their security duties effectively.

It was stated by him while briefing them about effective security measures in the city which was attended among others by Colonel Syed Sajid Hussain Shah from Pakistan Rangers, all Zonal SPs, SHOs, patrolling officers and personnel performing duties at pickets.

SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani and Colonel Syed Sajid Hussain Shah gave detailed briefing about effective security measures and hoped for better performance of their personnel.

SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani said that those performing duties at pickets should also take care of themselves and use bullet proof jackets and helmets.  He said that senior police officials should personally check positions at pickets and brief personnel as how to handle emergency or risky situations.  He asked the patrolling officers to check suspects and keep vigilant eye around them in order to thwart any untoward incident.

He also asked for elaborate security measures at important installations including media houses and educational institutions. He said that use of mobile phone should be avoided during duty and all self-protectionary measure should not be neglected.

He said that Islamabad police is proud of their martyred personnel and every effort and sacrifice should be made to ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens.
