ISLAMABAD:(APS)June 6, 2016- On the appeal of CDA Mazdoor Union (CBA) a protest rally was organized in Abpara Chouk, of Islamabad which was peaceful event wherein thousands of employees (Males & Females) of Environment, Water Supply, Chairman’s Complex, Parliament Lodges, Lake view Park, Sanitation,Roads Maintenance, Fire Brigade, DMA Directorates participated in this protest. While addressing the gathering, Syed Zafar Ali Shah, ex-Senator, said that he respected Ch.Muhammad Yaseen as CDA employees are fortunate enough that they have a leader like Ch.M.Yaseen with them. He welcomed the elected Local Bodies members and in order to strengthen them, he is demanding that Mayor of the Corporation be so vested with powers that he be overall In charge of the Metropolitan establishment. His demand is perfectly genuine that the CDA should not be bifurcated. He reiterated his will that he is ready to go to jail for the workers of the CDA. Addressing the gathering Ch.Muhammad Yaseen, General Secretary said that for the last one year, he was struggling for the reservations and apprehensions of the workers, and informed the Government, including Members of the Parliament, Honourable Senators, Federal Ministers and all others for the promulgation of “Islamabad Capital Territory Local Government Act,2015” resulting in its negative impact on the work-force of the establishment. He also conveyed his sincere thanks to Honourable Federal Interior Minister (Ch.Nisar Ali Khan) who took notice of our demands and also conveyed some instructions in this respect. Mr.Tikka Khan, General Secretary, All Pakistan Akhbar Frosh Federation while addressing the protesters that vesting of entire powers with the Mayor of Islamabad was a reasonable demand and that the Mayor and Deputy Mayors shall more effective to administer the problems faced by the public and the work-force. He demanded from the Honourable Prime Minister,Chief Minister Pun jab, Interior Minister Ch.Nisar Ali Khan and State Minister for CADD Dr.Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, to reconsider the reservations and apprehensions placed by Ch.M.Yaseen which have negative impact on the future policies as envisaged by the Government. Some other Speakers also addressed the gathering and extended confidence in Mr.Yaseen that they would be with him in this hour of difficulty and problems and they will not keep him alone.
