Islamabad Police conduct flag march


ISLAMABAD:(APS) October 06, 2016-  Islamabad Police along with contingents of Pakistan Rangers on Thursdayconducted flag march with an objective to maintain peace and tranquility in the city during Muharram ul Haram.

On the special directions of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Tariq Masood Yasin, SSP  (Operations) Islamabad Sajid Kiani has prepared a comprehensive plan of flag march to show preparedness to counter any challenge and to maintain peace in the city.

In this regard a flag march was conducted under the supervision of SP (Saddar) Zone  Zeeshan Haider which was participated by all SDPOs and SHOs of Saddar Area Zone,  officials of Pakistan Rangers, Islamabad Traffic Police, Police Commandos, Rescue 15 police and police patrolling officials.

Flag march started from Pakistan Sports Complex and culminated at the same point after passing through Aabpara Chowk, Imambargah Al Murtaza G-9/4 to Imambargah Al Sadiq G-9/2 , F-10 Market, F-11 Markez, Bhekha Syedan,Golra Shareef, G-11 Markaz,G-10 Markaz,G-9 Markaz Karachi Company and  Kashmir Highway.

SSP (Operations) Islamabad Sajid Kiani has said that Islamabad police have ensured comprehensive ecurity arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram. He said that police would accomplish responsibility in an efficient manner to ensure protection to lives and property of citizens

SSP Islamabad further said that purpose of this flag march was to show preparations of police and other law enforcement agencies during the Muhram ul Haram to counter any challenge and maintain peace in the city. He also directed all the SDPOs and the SHOs to make effective security arrangements in this regard in their respective areas. He added that Islamabad Police would maintain a close liaison with peace committees and organizers of Muharram Majalis and processions.
