ISLAMABAD:Justice Amir Farooq of Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notices to the Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Sheikh Anser Aziz and Director Municipal Administration (DMA) Captain Shahbaz. The notices were issued on the application of a Managing Director of a Local Advertising Company. Sardar Latif Khosa wasthe Counsel of MD Local Advertising Company Ghulam Syeden. Petitioner in his petition claimed that despite having the license the relevant authorities did not give him the authority of the tri vision sign boards. The managing director of a local advertising company registered a petition in the court in which he mentioned that on January10, 2012, he submitted an application to the then CDA chairman Farhand Iqbal for the acceptance of three tri vision sign boards, chairman accepted the application and advised to submitted the required fee, he accepted all the conditions and submitted the advance fee of three months. The CDA issued the license to the petitioner then. But he is giving applications to the relevant authorities since the last four years but the authorities even did not allocate the place for the tri vision sign board. Due to this attempt of the CDA the advertising company and the government faced loss of millions of Rs. The petitioner requested the court to pass the orders to give them the possession of the sign boards. The court after hearing the arguments issued the notices to the parties and ordered them to come before the court on November 30 with all the record. It was also important to mention here that on 8th March 2016 the Federal Investigating Agency FIA had written a letter to the chairman CDA to submit the record of the billboard, tri-vision billboards, pool sign, bridge panels, wall panels and other advertisements category from 2006 to 2016,so far, no action would be brought into the process.
