ISLAMABAD:(APS) August 9, 2016: Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Islamabad Police has arrested four gangsters for their alleged involvement in looting houses after getting jobs there as domestic servants and also recovered looted items from their possession, police said.
Following directions from SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani, a team was constituted by SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas including officials from Special Investigation Unit (SIU). This team supervised by DSP CIA Bashir Noon consisted of ASIs Zulfiqar, Azhar, Rana Tasneem, Sargull and Lady Constable Rehana Kousar which worked hard and succeeded to bust a gang involved in looting houses. T
he gangsters including two males and two females used to get jobs in houses as domestic servants and then loot them. They have been identified as Ijaz alias Sattar s/o Ahmed Yar ; Yousaf s/o Ahmed Yar; Shenaz w/o Muhammad Younas residents of Chak No 101 Munianwala Tehsil Distt Chiniott, Kousar w/o Muhammad Aslam resident of Chak No 50 South Tehsil District Sargodha.
Police team recovered 22 Tola gold jewelry and Mehran car from them while one of the male accused is a court absconder while other is a proclaimed offender in Islamabad various cases.
During preliminary investigation, they confessed to be involved in multiple cases of theft.
On November 16, 2007, they made theft in the house of Saima Javed wife of Javed Rehman resident of House no 10 Sawan Road sector G-11/3 following which case FIR 67/2007 US 381/34 PPC was registered in Women police station.
On March 4, 2014, they made theft in the house of Khushnuda Zuhara resident of house No 20 street 148 in sector G-13/4 and FIR under section 381/34 PPC was registered in women police station. They also confessed their involvement in such cases in various districts including Faisalabad and Lahore.
SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani has appreciated this performance and announced commendation certificates along with cash reward for the police team as their encouragement.
