ISLAMABAD:(APS)May 3, 2015: Islamabad Police have arrested four auto-thieves and recovered stolen bikes from their possession, a police spokesman said.
On the special directions of Inspector General of police Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan, SP Saddar constituted a special team headed by Station Houser Officer Margalla police station to arrest those involved in car and bike lifting incidents.
This team including Sub-Inspector Liquat and others worked hard and succeeded to nab two car-lifters. The nabbed persons have been identified as Ghulam Murtaza s/o Ali Sher resident District Faisalabad and Muhammad Imran Bashir s/o Muhammad Bashir resident of district Toba Take Singh.
The nabbed persons confessed to steal vehicles from areas of Margalla, Kohsar and Aabpara . Further investigation is underway from them and police is hopeful for recovery from them.
Furthermore, SP City constituted a special team headed by Station Houser Officer of Aabpara police station to arrest those involved in auto-theft.
This team including Sub-Inspector Asghar and ASI Muhamad Asif succeeded to nab two bike lifters. The nabbed persons have been identified as Sohaib resident of district Attock and Bahram Khan resident of district Mradan while police recovered three stolen bikes from their possession.
SSP Islamabad Mir Vais Niaz has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to intensify vigilance in their respective area and curb activities of anti-social elements.
