ISLAMABAD: May 16, 2021: Islamabad police on Sunday arrested 24 outlaws including 14 alm-seekers and handlers and recovered narcotic ,and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Sunday.
Following directions of SSP (Operations) Dr Syed Mustafa Tanveer, the police launched a crackdown against criminals at different localities of the district.
Sabzi Mandi Police arrested two accused Muhammad Rashid and Ali Khan and recovered two 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession. Koral police arrested accused Aabbas and recovered 210 gram hashish from him. Tarnol police arrested accused Merjan Khan and recovered 900 hashish from him.
Karachi company police arrested accused Bhadir Khan and recovered 10 liters of alcohol from him. Margalla police team arrested a lady who accused Mevish of involvement in the theft. Nilor police arrested accused Khurram Shahzad and recovered one 9mm pistol along with ammunition from him.
Koral police arrested accused Noman and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. Tarnol police arrested accused Hamza and recovered 720 gram hashish from him. Banigala police arrested accused Nzakat Hussain and recovered 10 liters of alcohol from him.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed person and further investigation is underway from them. During a special crackdown against police teams, 14 beggars’ and two handlers were arrested from various areas of the city.
DIG Operations Afzaal Ahmad Kausar and SSP (Operations) Dr Syed Mustafa Tanveer hase appreciated Police performance. They also sought cooperation of citizens for effective policing measures in the city.
While Islamabad Khanna Police has arrested two persons involved in dacoities as well as street crime and recovered snatched mobile phones and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.

SSP( Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer ordered all zonal officers to crackdown against criminals including those involved in dacoity and street crime and accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city.
Following these directions, SP (Rural-Zone) Rana Abdul Wahab constituted special teams under supervision of ASP Usman Munair including SHO Khanna Police Station Kamal Khan along with other officials which successfully busted two members’ dacoit gang involved in snatching valuables at gunpoint in Express Highway and surrounding.
They have been identified as Ejaz Khan resident of Sadiq abad Rawalpindi and Muhammad Ramzan resident of Kurree Road Islamabad.
Police team recovered snatched mobile phones and weapons along with ammunition from their possession.
During the preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in incidents of looting people in area Express highway and surrounding.
Separate cases have been registered in Khanna police stations against the nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
