ISLAMABAD: (APS)Nov 27,2015- Minister of State (CA&DD) Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary visited CDA where he chaired a briefing regarding its affairs and functions.
The Minister was given a warm welcome by the employees of CDA. The employees chanted slogans in favor of Prime Minister and Dr. Tariq Fazal. On this occasion the chairman of workers Chauhdhary Yaseen said that it’s an honor for the people of Islamabad that a true son of soil has been appointed the Minister for CA&DD. He belongs to Islamabad and has a fair idea of its problems, he added. Mr. Yaseen further said that under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Tariq Fazal Ch. Islamabad will evolve into a dream city.
Talking to the participants of the meeting the minister said that CDA is now part of CA&DD. Our common goal should be the uplift of the Capital City. The Prime Minister has entrusted me with the huge task of transformation of the Islamabad into a model capital city. CDA, through its futuristic development and planning can go a long way in fulfilling the dream of making Islamabad a model city, the Minster said.
Dr. Tariq said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has seen the dream of a Model Capital. Now it’s our responsibility to transform this dream into reality, he added.
The Minister said that revolutionary planning is required to bring the city to the desired position. Honest and dedicated employees of CDA will always find me in their favor, he said. CDA will be fully supported in taking forward the agenda of progress and development.
The minister took serious notice of non provision of water and gas connections to the citizens in different parts of Islamabad. He directed the authority to withdraw this notification at the earliest. He further said that these are basic necessities which cannot be denied under any condition. He also directed the CDA to prepare for follow up meeting on the coming Tuesday i-e 1-12-2015.
Talking about the shortcomings of CDA, the Minister said that every organization have some strengths and weaknesses. We have to minimize our shortfalls for the achievement of desired goals.
There is always a room for improvement; therefore you have to think out of the box to bring about the real change. We are in an extra ordinary situation where only extra ordinary measures can lead us to success.
In the end the Minister said that we have to work collectively to achieve our common goal. He further said that failure is not an option so we have to work like a single body for our success.
