ISLAMABAD:(APS)October 11, 2015: Islamabad police along with Pak Rangers conducted search operation in Noon, Sabzi Mandi as well as their adjacent areas and nabbed 26 suspects, a police spokesman said.
Following the directions of Inspector General of Police, Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan, SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has prepared a comprehensive plan of searching and combing in the city. According to this plan, search operation has been initiated and the police are conducting checking at slum areas, inns, hotels, restaurants and Afghan habitats. These measures are being taken to ensure high vigilance and foolproof security in Muharram-ul-Haram and to keep vigilant eye on the suspected elements.
According to details, Islamabad Police along with contingents of Pak Rangers in wee hours of Sunday conducted search operation in the areas of Noon and Sabzi Mandi police stations where they screened houses, workshops, markets, under construction buildings and residential areas. The teams succeeded to arrest 26 suspects who are being investigated further. During this search operation, two motorbikes, one 7mm gun, four 12bore guns, one SMG, eight pistols of different bores, 573 bullets, two magazines and 458 gram narcotics was also recovered .
SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has said that search operation would continue in coming days and complete combing would be made of sensitive areas, the spokesman maintained. He told the purpose of this search operation and high vigilance is to ensure foolproof security in the
city during Muharram-ul-Haram and he further directed all SDPOs and SHOs to continue it. He has appreciated all those who joined this search operation and appealed the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them.
