ISLAMABAD:(APS) March 26, 2016- Islamabad Police have arrested 17 outlaws including two lady drug pushers from various areas of the city and recovered 8.355 kilogram hashish, 500 gram opium, 20 liters wine, weapons and other stolen items from their possession, a police spokesman said. He said that, Noon police teams headed by DSP Muhammad Hussain Lasi along with SI Rabnawaz and SI Mian Khan recovered 6.650 kilogram hashish from two lady drug pushers namely Saima Ijaz r/o Ferozwala Shaikhupura and Fari Shakil r/o Dharampura, Lahore. Cases have been registered against them and they confessed during preliminary investigation to smuggle it from Peshawar to Lahore.
Furthermore, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ashraf along with police team arrested two drug pushers Ibrahim and Abdul Wahab during special checking in Barma Town and recovered 2.230 kilogram hashish and one 30 bore pistol from them. Ramna police recovered mobile phone, laptop, UPS from the possession of accused Tariq, Aslam and Ashraf. Koral police nabbed Tahir for having one 30 bore pistol. Further investigation is underway from arrested accused. Meanwhile, local police have apprehended eight proclaimed offenders and court absconders from different areas of the city.
SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures inthe city and curb activities of anti-social elements.
