ISLAMABAD:(APS) March 10: Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police has arrested 11 dacoits and recovered gold ornaments, cash and other looted valuables from their possession, a police spokesman said.
Following the directions from IGP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan to maintain high vigilance in the city, SP (Investigation) constituted special teams to apprehend those involved in criminal activities. These teams headed by DSP (CIA) Bashir Ahmed Noon and including others Sub-Inspects Muhammad Tehseen, Tariq Rauf, ASIs Ameer Sajjad, Suleman Shah, Tipu Sultan, Zafar Iqbal started vigilance and enhanced patrolling in various areas.
These CIA teams succeeded to arrest 11 criminals who were identified as Ibrar, Shabbir, Suleman, Owais, Nazakat, Arshad, Nauman Mansoor, Waqas Javed, Shahid Zaman, Bilal and Javed. These nabbed criminals confessed to commit various dacoities at gun point in areas of Margallah, Koral, Secretariat and Sihala police stations. Police recovered two cars, seven mobile phones, gold ornaments, weapons and ammunition from their possession. Further investigation is underway from them and police is hopeful for more recovery from them.
IGP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan and SSP Mir Vais Niaz have appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to intensify patrolling and high vigilance in their respective areas.
