ISLAMABAD: (APS) – Experts of the working group have readied their agenda in which it has been decided that they will examine 16 anti-terror laws and share their suggestions regarding them with the Action-Plan Committee, according to APS News sources.
According to the details, experts will examine the 16 anti-terror laws and suggest amendments in them to rectify weaknesses in the existing laws.
Sources claim that suggestion of formulating one law for dealing with all sorts of terrorism cases is under consideration. Working Group will also consider forming military courts for Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Provincially Administered Tribal Areas (PATA).
The working group will examine the provincial powers regarding issuance of weapons licenses, sources told APS News. Ways to curb the armed wings of political parties will also be given serious consideration.
Working group is also going to suggest shutting down the unregistered madrassahs (religious schools). Action Plan Committee will give final verdict on the recommendations given by the Working Group.
