KARACHI (APS News) – In response to recent crackdown against the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders in Karachi, Sindh Information Minister Nisar Khuhro has said that some forces do not want to see PPP government in Sindh.
In a statement release on Friday, the provincial information minister stated that anti-corruption actions only in Sindh are not justified.
Repeating the past tactics will not yield any good result, he added.
Khuhro said it is now Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s test that either he will order same action in Punjab or not.
The angry remarks from the PPP leader came a day after an anti-terrorism court (ATC) remanded former petroleum minister and Asif Ali Zardari s close aide Dr Asim Hussain in Rangers custody on 90-day remand. On the other hand, an anti-corruption court issued arrest warrants for two senior PPP leaders including former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and former minister Amin Faheem.
