The decisions were made after Auditor General Sindh Barrister Zamir Ghumro briefed the cabinet regarding the ruling of the Sindh High Court on the matter.
Earlier this week, the Sindh High Court had suspended a notification issued by the Sindh government for the removal of the IGP.
The SHC had suspended Dasti’s ‘promotion’ as acting IGP as well.
The provincial government had sent Khawaja packing on Apr 1 and appointed Dasti, a Grade-21 police officer already working in the province, in his place.
