LAHORE (APS News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday gave the government a 2-month deadline to investigate rigging in elections of 2013. The PTI chairman stated that they will come out to protest in the streets again if the judicial commission does not reaches a decision regarding the issue within 2 months. Khan stated that if they do not come out and protest against rigging then the next generation will remain a slave to these rulers. Khan also stated that votes are being bought and sold on the basis of money in relation to the upcoming Senate elections. He said that PTI workers can also be caught up in this trade. The PTI chairman stated that election rigging preparations have been completed in Gilgit Baltistan.
The PTI chairman informed of this deadline and stated these views during a telephonic address to a PTI rally in New York.
According to the details, Khan admitted that factionalism exists within PTI. He stated that party elections will be held soon so as to address this issue. Khan informed that he will be visiting United States (US) in June to promote foreign investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
In a statement issued previously, the PTI chairman accused Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) of being involved in horse trading.
Khan stated that the government was never serious in presenting a constitutional amendment. He stated that the Prime Minister’s (PM) visit to Saudi Arabia was an indication of this fact. Khan stated that PTI believes in transparency of elections.
On the other hand, PPP’s former President of Pakistan Raja Pervaiz Ashraf responded to the allegations made by Khan. Ashraf stated that Imran Khan should leave politics of accusations. He stated that Imran Khan accuses first and then thinks about it. Ashraf stated that due to Khan’s false accusations he always has to return to a back foot. Ashraf said that PPP was against horse trading.
