IMRAN

ISLAMABAD: (APS) September 17,2016– Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has decided to lodge cases against those who are threatening workers and leaders of the political party against forthcoming anti-corruption march towards Raiwind in Lahore while the ruling party is reportedly training its youth wing for resistance.

PTI is to march towards Raiwind in bid to pressure government to probe the Prime Minister for his alleged corruption and owning offshore companies since, according to the opposition party, he has lost moral grounds to lead the nation.

While addressing a rally in Chichawatni on Friday, PTI Chairman, Imran Khan announced to let out the date of the march on coming Sunday.

Khan among other political parties had alleged premier of corruption after names of his two sons and a daughter appeared in leaked documents of Mossack Fonseca in April for owning offshore companies.

Shell companies were seen by the opposition in the country as means to stash wealth abroad without having to pay taxes.

Imran Khan is rallying in different provinces for past months against Nawaz Sharif’s alleged corruption that according to him is bringing harm to country’s revenue with negatively impacting every national institution.

Sources privy to the political party reported that a plea would be filed in one of the police stations in Faisalabad against Abid Sher Ali, Federal Minister for Water and Power after his statement against Khan and those in favour of the march surfaced.

Ali had warned the leadership of the opposition party against rallying in Raiwind saying that families and children of PTI leaders and those of leaders of other parties would not remain safe if Raiwind saw disturbance.

On the other hand, youth wing of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz is being trained to hinder the march and purportedly, members will be equipped with batons.

Currently, members of the so-called force are receiving training in Gujranwala, source said.

Separately, Justice Shahid Kareem of Lahore High Court has recommended to form a larger bench to hear a plea that challenges PTI’s movement towards Jati Umra of Raiwind.
