MIANWALI (APS) Nov 16,2015– Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday has said politicians treat politics in Pakistan as business.
Khan has continues his campaign for the local body (LB) elections on the second day in Mianwali. PTI chairman said that the government rewarded a very small section of farmers while spent billions of rupees on two metro projects.
While addressing a rally in Kamar Mushani, Khan said that the government has doubled the general sales tax (GST) on diesel. The tax on diesel earlier was at least 25 percent while it stands at 50 percent now, he added.
He criticised the Kisan package and said that had the funds for metro buses spent on farmers, they would have progressed.
The PTI chairman later went to Kot Chandana to address a gathering. He said that the parties which are used to come to power turn after turn have done nothing for the people of the country. He termed Kisan package “economic murder” of the farmers.
Khan said that PTI candidates are being booked under false allegations ahead of LB polls.
Earlier, the government had announced a massive package for farmers. On November 11, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sardar Raza had declared the package a violation of code of conduct as it came after schedule of the polls was issued.
He said that there is no different between an animal and a human without justice. The former cricket captain said that one purpose of life should be to fight for justice. He said that during Musharraf’s era, Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) was yielding profits.
