PITB is committed to promote the improvement and transparency in Institutions: Dr. Umer Saif

ISLAMABAD:(APS)March 3, 2017-Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab and Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board Dr. Umer Saif said that  one crore and 30 million messages were received during starting the SMS service to prevent corruption by the Punjab government.

In this regard, So far 7 thousand has been action against officials.

25 thousand and 8 hundred village has been recorded digitally in total of 26 thousand in Punjab.

137 Land Centre have been established in the province .

Where is ownership documents can be obtained in a few minutes.

Now it is linked to all revenue system.  Proprietary documents and registry dual system has been eliminated.

Stamp  papers has been also Digital. IT front desk have been established in 712 police stations of Punjab.

Now complaint can filed online. Hotels have also been linked to criminal database.

Thanks to which criminal can quickly trace and to help elimination of terrorism.

We are also helping in various projects of KPK, Sindh, Balochistan, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan governments. So there could also be taken advantage of information technology.

He expressed these views in Meet the Press at the National Press Club Islamabad.

Dr. Umar Saif said that Punjab Information Technology Board is  Implementing reforms in different institutions of other provinces.
