ISLAMABAD:(APS)December 8, 2016-Chairman PIA, Azam Sehgal has said that all passengers on board in the PIA flight have died.
Talking to newsmen in Islamabad tonight he said there was no technical fault in the plane.
A PIA airliner with around 48 passengers and crew on-board crashed near Havelian in Abbottabad district on Wednesday evening.
The plane was coming to Islamabad from Chitral.
Pakistan Army has sent a helicopter and troops to trace the plane. The civil administration has also sent rescue teams to locate the wreckage and passengers.
PIA has set up emergency response centre and can be accessed at telephone numbers 021-99044376 and 021-99044394.
According to passengers list, renowned Naat Khwan Junaid Jamshed was also on-board the plane.
On the direction of the Prime Minister, National Emergency Operation Centre has been activated for coordination and assistance from NDMA which can be accessed at 051-9205037.
NDMA has advised PDMA and district administration to transport all casualties to a single hospital for recognition and further transportation.
Helicopters have been placed on the disposal of NDMA to evacuate dead bodies.
Meanwhile, search operation by district administration, Police and Army troops is in progress while Chairman NADRA has activated mobile biometric team to identify dead bodies
The dead bodies are being evacuated to Hospital in Havelian.According to ISPR, 36 dead bodies have been recovered from the wreckage of plane so far.Doctors and paramedical staff of Army is also taking part in the operation.
However, charred bodies will be shifted to Ayub Medical Teaching Hospital Abbottabad and it may be contacted at 0992 9310200

They also condoled with the bereaved families for the loss of their dear ones and prayed for the eternal peace of departed souls.
Prime Minster said this incident has saddened the entire nation.
Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb has also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the crash and condoled with the bereaved families.
Talking to media, she said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif mobilized all resources of federal departments for the help of provincial and district administration.
The State Minister said the government will leave no stone unturned for the help of families of those martyred in the incident.
