Pakistan First female foreign secretary’s Introductory Meeting with reporters

ISLAMABAD:(APS)March 30, 2017-The newly appointed Pakistani First female foreign secretary Ms.Tehmina Janjua ’s Introductory meeting with  media personnel held at the Banquet Hall of Sahibzada Yaqub Khan Block, Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday before the Spokesperson’s Weekly Media Briefing.At this occasion Asghar Ali Mubarak a senior Pakistani journalist and  founder President Diplomatic Correspondents Forum of Pakistan  DCFP well comes the Pakistan’s former representative to the United Nations Ms.Tehmina Janjua. Asghar Ali Mubarakalong with Pervaiz Moughal,Syed Mohsin Raza,Syed Mujaba Rizwan,Shahid Methera,Farooq Aqdas,Shoukat Pracha,Naveed Akramand ,Miss sheeba and others presented bouquets of red roses to the first female foreign secretary Ms.Tehmina Janjua. Asghar Ali Mubarak said diplomacy is a peaceful method to solve conflict, maintain good relations and media will play its important role. Ms Janjua said that Pakistani media is very responsible. Previously, Ms Janjua served as Pakistan’s Representative to the United Nation’s Geneva and as its ambassador to Italy. Ms Janjua joined Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1984 and served in Pakistan’s missions to New York City and United Nations before serving as the Director of Foreign Secretary’s Office between 2004 and 2005.Ms Janjua has replaced Aizaz Chaudhry who has been appointed as Pakistan’s ambassador to Washington. Ms Janjua is a seasoned diplomat with a career spanning over 32 years. She has rich experience of working in bilateral and multilateral domains — both at the headquarters and missions abroad.
