ISLAMABAD: (APS) September 2, 2016 – National Assembly on Friday has unanimously approved resolution condemning speech of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s founder, Altaf Hussain in which he raised anti-Pakistan slogans and provoked the political activists.
Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir presented the resolution.
The resolution stated that Hussain directed political workers to storm offices of ARY News and Samaa News in Karachi after anti-state slogans were chanted in the gathering which he was addressing to from London.
The resolution further pledged allegiance with national institutions against which Hussain had given numerous statements in the recent past amid allegations of working for Research and Analysis Wing of India.
While addressing participants of the session, Dr Farooq Sattar, leader of Pakistan MQM said that after Altaf Hussain detached himself with Pakistan, MQM detached itself with its leader.
Dr Sattar said that the party workers and appointed members unconditionally love Pakistan and stand against any hatred towards it. Had MQM given a chance, it would have moved a resolution in the National Assembly, he said.
The Pakistan chief of the organisation said that August 22 was the worst day for MQM amongst all.
