ISLAMABAD:(APS) September 28, 2016– India has sabotaged 19th Summit of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation which was to be held on November 9 and 10 in Pakistan, after it pulled out reportedly prompting like actions from Bhutan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
Few reports that surfaced on Tuesday had suggested that conference of the heads of member states under the auspices of SAARC, to be convened in Islamabad in November was cancelled, but were rubbished by the government.
Aziz stated today that Pakistan was not formally informed about any such development.
The advisor to the premier gave a statement hours after the reports of India sabotaging the conference surfaced today.
The development came a day after Spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs announced India’s refusal to take part in the summit, terming the environment “not conducive” to convene sessions in Pakistan.
It was claimed by the Indian media earlier today that three states; Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Bhutan also pulled out of the conference following India.
