WASHINGTON: (APS)Oct 21,2015-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that India is discouraged peace process in the region from Pakistan.
He expressed these views speaking to Pakistani American Community on Tuesday in Washington.
He argued that tension is the root cause Kashmir issue between Pakistan and India.
Kashmir issue must solve and seriously to improve relations.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan because peace will bring prosperity to the country and region.
He said that on this occasion,a political party sought to create a political crisis in the country after the elections 2013 and now, after polls is being said, there has been rigged.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that now is not appropriate to take to ruin the civilized protest on streets and squares.
When Parliament is working, Courts have restored, Independent media and institutions are doing their job then violence cannot be allowed on roads.
He said all the stake holders should join hand for the development, progress and prosperity of the country.
On war aginst terrorism, the Prime Minister said Pakistan gave many sacrifices in this war and the government is committed to root out terrorism from the country. He said network of terrorists has been destroyed.
He said 3600 megawatt electricity will be added in the national grid by 2017 to overcome energy crisis.
He said transparency remain top priority in the energy projects.
Nawaz Sharif said budget deficit has been reduced to 5.3 from 8.8 and stock market is improving.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan and China are constructing Gwadar port together while the government has also signed agreement with Russia for gas pipeline project.
He said international institutions are acknowledging government’s steps for the revival of the economy.
Nawaz Sharif said the government has launched 341 billion rupees package for farmers to facilitate them.
Nawaz Sharif appreciated sacrifices rendered by Pakistan armed forces against terrorism.
Earlier, when the Prime Minister arrived in Washington, a smartly turned out contingent of the US armed forces presented a guard of honour to him.
Advisor on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Jalil Abbas Jilani, Pakistan’s permanent representative at the United Nations Dr. Maleeha Lodhi were also present.
First lady Kalsoom Nawaz, Prime Minister’s daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi were amongst the prominent personalities accompanying the Prime Minister.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold discussions on wide-ranging areas of bilateral interest with President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and various Cabinet members.
In these meetings, the two sides are expected to review the current state of Pakistan-US relations and identify new areas for future bilateral cooperation to further expand and enrich the canvas of this partnership.
The Prime Minister will attend a business event organized by US-Pakistan Business Council in Washington D.C. and address the United States Institute of Peace.
Interactions with US media representatives and the Pakistani-American community are also part of the programme.
