RAWALPINDI (APS) October 21, 2016 – Pakistan Army has rubbished claims of Indian media about martyrdom of at least five Rangers at the Line of Control (LoC) on Friday.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that unprovoked Indian firing and shelling by aggressor India in Shakargarh sector today did not claim any life. The media cell of the military has reduced the attempt to a part of Indian propaganda against Pakistan.
ISPR reported earlier in the day that Indian forces had targeted Chak Amroo village.
“Pakistan Rangers Punjab befittingly responded to Indian firing which continued from 09:00 to 09:30 hours,” the statement read.
Indian propaganda ramped up last month over a terror attack in Indian-occupied Kashmir for which Pakistan was wrongly blamed by the neighbouring state.
In the aftermath, a false claim of carrying out a surgical strike was made which was also refuted by Pakistan military in the days that followed. Indian government was not ridiculed but criticised as well after the incident.
