Increase in cases: Decision to close indoor dining, schools, amusement parks in Sindh

ISLAMABAD:July 14, 2021 In Sindh, it has been decided to close indoor dining, schools, amusement parks and cinemas due to the increase in cases of Corona once again.

A meeting of the provincial task force on corona virus was held under the chairmanship of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

The meeting was attended by Provincial Ministers Nasir Shah, Ikramullah Dharijo, Parliamentary Secretary Qasim Soomro, Chief Secretary, IG Police, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Commissioner Karachi, Provincial Secretaries, WHO Representative Dr Sara, Dr Qaiser, Corps Five and Rangers. Representatives attended.

Briefing the meeting, it was informed that the rate of new cases in the province has reached 7.4 percent.

The Chief Minister said that if the number of code cases increased by 5%, it would be a dangerous situation.

The meeting was informed that 16,262 tests were conducted on Tuesday in which 1,201 cases came to light and on July 13, the rate of new cases in Karachi was 17.11%.

According to the weekly report, Karachi has 21% cases in East, 15% in South, 12% in Central and 8% in Korangi.

On this occasion, Murad Ali Shah said that the situation in Karachi is very bad.

The meeting was further informed that as on July 12, 356 cases of different types of corona have been reported in Sindh including 92 of British type, 162 of South African type, 29 of Brazilian type, 29 of Indian type, 66 of Indian type, 3 of PVK and Wild. Includes a typing case.
