ISLAMABAD:(APS) August 18, 2016-Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has underlined the need of ideological operation for complete elimination of terrorism after the completion of the Zarb-e-Azb in the country.
Addressing a conference held under the auspices of Pakistan Ulema Council in Islamabad on Thursday evening, he said that the ideological war against extremism will remain continue forever.
Pervaiz Rashid said that there is no link between Islam and terrorism. He said that the terrorists have no religion and this has been acknowledged by all the nations, which suffered the scourge.
He said that Islam is a religion of peace and harmony based on the service of humanity.
Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan Ulema Council Chairman Maulana Tahir Ashrafi said the entire Muslim Ummah supports the cause of Kashmir and Palestine.
He said efforts should be continued to highlight the Kashmir issue at the international level so the ongoing human rights violations in Kashmir could be brought to an end.
He said Pakistan being a nuclear power has a leading role among the Muslim countries, and the entire Muslim Ummah has attached high expectations with it. The participants of the conference offered Fateha for the people martyred in the recent Quetta blast.
Meanwhile, addressing a seminar on the Current Situation in Occupied Kashmir in Islamabad on Thursday evening, Pervaiz Rashid said Pakistan will continue moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris in their just struggle for their right to self-determination.
He said Kashmiris are continuing their constitutional, lawful and democratic struggle in the Held Kashmir for liberation from the Indian bondage.
The Minister said India is trying to suppress the voice of Kashmiris by the use of brute force but will not succeed in its designs.
He said first time in the history of democracy the turn out in election in Azad Kashmir remained 68% which shows that the people of the state are independent in electing their representatives.
He said the same percentage in Srinagar protested against India expressing no confidence in the Indian government.
Pervaiz Rashid said that major issues of the country have been resolved and economy strengthened.
The Information Minister said that the nation is united to take the country forward but some elements want to sabotage the development process.
He said that the people of the country have rejected such elements in the previous elections and they will not be able to succeed in the next elections.
