Govt, opposition agree to form parliamentary committee over TORs

ISLAMABAD: (APS) May 18, 2016– The government and the opposition on Wednesday agreed to form a parliamentary committee comprising 12 members to finalise Terms of Reference (TORs) of Panama Leaks probe, APS News reported.

According to the details, the committee will comprise 6 members from government and 6 from the opposition.

Talking to the media, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid said that the committee will be given 2-week time to finalise the TORs.

He said the members can be from both the National Assembly and Senate, adding that the names will be finalised this evening.

The federal minister said that the recommendation to form the committee was given by the Prime Minister to the National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.

He said the approval to form the committee will be sought from the House on Thursday.
