LAHORE: (APS)– Chief of the Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif paid a visit to Rangers Punjab headquarters on Friday where he was briefed over operational preparations.
Inter-Services Public Relations reported General Sharif’s visit to the headquarters.
Major General Umar Farooq Burki, Director General of Pakistan Rangers welcomed the chief of the military upon his arrival and briefed him over readiness of the personnel to respond at a call.
While addressing the gathering, the Chief of the Army Staff lauded the sacrifices rendered by the troops, performing duties at the Working Boundary. General Raheel Sharif offered fateha for eternal peace of the departed at martyrs resting place and laid floral wreath.
Earlier, he was received by Lahore Corps Commander, Lt General Sadiq Ali upon his arrival.
The chief of the army has been recently visiting different installations of the armed sector of the country after India ignited tensions and provoked Pakistan through false claims and shelling at the Line of Control this month.
