RAWALPINDI (APS) November 21, 2016– Six Indian soldiers were killed as Pakistan retaliated to unprovoked Indian firing at the Line of Control (LoC) on Monday.
Media cell of the military, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that four civilians were martyred while ten sustained injuries in Indian cross-border firing. It was reported that Indian forces targeted villages in Karela, Jadroot and Baroh sectors.
A martyred civilian named Altaf belonged to a village named Jabardheri of Jadroot Sector while Nazia Kausar was martyred in Mithrani village of Kerala Sector. In Baroh Sector, locals named Ateeq and Tasavur lost their lives.
However, in retaliation, several Indian check-posts were decimated while six soldiers killed.
Earlier in the day, Deputy High Commissioner (HC) of India, J P Singh was summoned to the Foreign Office (FO) and lodged protest with over series of ceasefire violations in the recent weeks.
