ISLAMABAD:(APS)April 26, 2016-Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif says China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will bring economic revolution in the country and change the destiny of nation.
He was talking to the Members of National Assembly who called on him separately in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister said the government is focusing on completion of power projects to end energy crisis.
He urged the elected representative to work for welfare of the people.
Nawaz Sharif said the government is working day and night for the welfare of the people.
The MNAs who met the Prime Minister include Babar Nawaz Khan, Muhammad Saqlain Bukhari and Malik Sultan Mahmood.
They praised policies of the Prime Minister for the uplift of people and development of the country.
Later, talking to Azerbaijan’s Minister for Defence Industry Yavar Jamalov in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said Pakistan places high value to its partnership and closer friendly relations with Azerbaijan.
He said Pakistan is keen to enhance its ties with Azerbaijan in defence, energy, commercial and economic fields.
Both sides agreed to further enhance cooperation in bilateral trade and economic fields. They agreed to continue the joint ministerial meetings to find out new opportunities.
Yavar Jamalov said Azerbaijan is keen to import defence products and raw material from Pakistan.
Meanwhile, talking to Chairman National Highway Authority (NHA) Shahid Ashraf Tarar in Islamabad, he said the network of motorways will complement the regional connectivity initiative, speed up development process and increase the economic growth.
He said as a result of this a number of employment opportunities will generate across the country.
Nawaz Sharif said all these efforts, which revolves around the progress and prosperity of the people.
The Chairman National Highway Authority gave a comprehensive briefing to the Prime Minister on the status of ongoing as well as future development projects across the country.
The meeting was informed that the Prime Minister will perform the groundbreaking of Havelian-Thakot, Multan-Sukkur, D.I. Khan-Hakla, Lahore-Multan and Sialkot-Lahore Motorways during the next three weeks.
The Prime Minister was apprised that infrastructure development projects worth 800 billion rupees, including CPEC projects will be completed during the next two to three years.
