Yaum-e-Ashur: Hussaini philosophy gives us lesson to stand against the unjust system


ISLAMABAD:(APS)October 12, 2016-Yaum-e-Ashur was observed on Wednesday with due solemnity and sanctity to pay homage to the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain Razi Allah-ho Tala Anho and his companions in Karbala.

Alam, Zuljinah and Taazia processions were taken out in all small and big towns of the country.

The Ulema and Zakireen, during the processions and majalis, highlighted the teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain and various aspects of Karbla tragedy.

Federal and provincial governments took strict security measures along the routes of processions to avoid any untoward incident.

In Rawalpindi, the main Zuljinah, Alam and Tazia procession of Yaum-e-Ashur was taken out from Imambargah Colonel Maqbool Hussain.

Small mourning processions joined the main procession at different points in the city. It culminated at Imambargah Qadeemi.

In Islamabad, small processions were taken out in different areas, which after passing through traditional routes have peacefully culminated.

In Lahore, the central mourning procession of Ashura-e-Muharram, which was taken out from Nisar Haveli Mochi Gate last night, reached at its destination peacefully.

The procession culminated at Karbala Gamay Shah after sunset where majlis-e-Shahm-e-Ghariban was held in which the Ulema and Zakirin narrated the tragic events of Karbala.

In Multan, Zuljinah, Alam and Tazias processions were taken out from different parts of the city.

In Attock, all the processions of Yaum-e-Ashur taken out from different areas concluded peacefully.

On the occasion, police had made elaborate security arrangements.

In Karachi, Ashura procession was taken out from Nishtar Park on Wednesday.

After passing through its traditional route, the procession culminated at Imambargah Hussainan Iranian Kharadar.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali along with IG Sindh AD Khawaja and other senior officers visited route of the procession and personally reviewed the security arrangements made on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar visited Rangers Headquarters in Karachi on Wednesday.

Director General Sindh Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar briefed him about security arrangements during Muharram-ul-Haram.

In Peshawar, the main Alam and Zuljinnah procession was taken out from Imam Bargah Alamdar Qissa Khawani Bazaar after Zuhar prayer on Wednesday.

The procession after passing through its traditional routes terminated at its starting point.

In D I Khan, Tank and other adjoining areas, Yaum-e-Ashur was also observed with religious sanctity and fervor.

Ashura was observed in Hazara division with traditional zeal and fervour on Wednesday amid tight security.

Several Alam and Zuljinah processions were taken out in the major cities of Haripur, Abbottabad and Mansehra.

The processions marched on traditional routes and ended peacefully at designated imambargahs.

Advisor to Chief Minister on Information Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani visited supreme command post of police in Peshawar.

During the visit, SSP Operations Abbas Majeed Marwat briefed him about the security arrangements made to ensure peaceful atmosphere for the mourning processions.

In Quetta, the main procession was  taken out from Punjabi Imam Bargah.

The  procession, after passing through its traditional routes, terminated at the same point in the evening.

More than seven thousand personnel of security forces are deployed to maintain law and order situation in the city.

In Muzaffarabad, main procession of Ashura was taken out from Markazi Pir Ilam Shah Bukhari Imam bargah, which after passing through its traditional route, culminated in the same Imambargah.

 In Mirpur, main Zuljinnnah and Alam procession was taken out from Markazi Imambargah Sa’adat colony amid tight security.

 The procession after passing through its traditional routes terminated at the same imambargah.

Yaum-e-Ashur was also observed in Gilgit Baltistan to commemorate the great sacrifices of   Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions.

In Gilgit, the main Ashura procession was brought out from Imamia Markazi Masjid which passing through traditional routes culminated the same place in the evening. • Free Website Templates - Downlaod Full Themes
