ISLAMABAD, June 16, 2021 Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health, said that there is a shortage of vaccines in some busy centers of the country but we are ensuring additional supply of vaccines.
During a media briefing in Islamabad, Dr. Faisal Sultan said, “Twelve million people in the country have received two doses of the vaccine and there are still about two million doses of the vaccine in the country.”
“There are more than 2,000 vaccination centers in the country and the number of visitors to each center varies, so there may be a shortage of vaccines in some centers and certainly in some busy centers,” he said.
“In this situation, we are in touch with all the provincial and local authorities and they are making every effort to ensure that if there is a shortage of vaccine in one center, it can be met in another,” he said.
