Brussels:(APS)Kashmir Council EU Chairman Ali Raza Syed has expressed grave concerns on rising exchange of firing at line of control of Kashmir (LOC) and across the working boundaries between Pakistan and India.
In a statement from Brussels, he said that the long-standing Kashmir problem has been core issue and real cause of tension between the two countries.
Mr With Regards said that Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute and it is related to political fate of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Early solution of the dispute according to the wishes of the people of Kashmir and UN’s resolutions is not only beneficial for the people of Kashmir but it is also valuable for India, Pakistan and prosperity of whole region of south Asia, he emphasized.
It is clear fact that Kashmir’s resolution is crucial for a long-term peace and welfare of people in entire region.
He appealed to international community specially United Nation (UN) Secretary General to urgently intervene and stop the cross border firing at LOC and working boundaries.
International Community particularly UN should come forward to play an effective role in addressing the long lasting dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.
He also appealed to the international community to help the Kashmiri flood victims as India had miserably failed in providing them any kind of proper relief and humanitarian aid. He said that the devastating floods had severely affected every sector and rehabilitation and rebuilding of Kashmir was not possible without the international assistance.
