Nine outlaws held; narcotics and weapons recovered


ISLAMABAD:(APS) June 3, 2016- Islamabad police have arrested nine outlaws including three dacoits from various areas of the city and recovered 1.32 kilogram hashish, heroin and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.

Following special directions of SP (Saddar) Bilal Zafar, a special team headed by SHO Tarnol police station Inspector Jamshed Khan including ASI Sabir Hussain Shah and other was constituted to ensure prompt action after some complaints of dacoity incidents.

 This team succeeded to arrest three dacoits Asghar Khan, Aneel Mushtaq, Najaf Shah and recovered a motorbike having fake number plate on it. These nabbed persons confessed to injure a person during a dacoity attempt in Tarnil while police recovered two mobile phones and other valuables from them. They also confessed to strike at various places of the twin cities and further investigation is underway from them.

Sub-Inspector Muhammad Hanif from Secretariat police station arrested a drug pusher Javed Iqbal alias Jedi and recovered 1.32 kilogram hashish from him while Sub-Inspector Liaqat Ali from Kohsar police arrested Liaqat Masih and recovered 120 gram heroin from him.  ASI Mumtaz Baig from Karachi Company police station apprehended Nasir and Rizwan for selling expired products.

Sub-Inspector Abdul Ghafoor from Sihala police arrested Atta ur Rehman and Said Wali in possession of one 30 bore pistol each.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. While reviewing this performance, SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated it and directed to further intensify efforts   for effective policing.
