ISLAMABAD, March 26, 2016: Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Islamabad Police has busted an inter-provincial gang involved in dacoity as well as burglary incidents and recovered fourteen laptops, mobile phones, cameras and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.
According to details, Senior police officials assigned the task to SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas to ensure arrest of those involved in dacoity incidents in various posh areas of the city. Following his directions, a special teams headed by DSP CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon was constituted which included Sub-Inspector Tariq Rauf, ASI Zulfiqar Ali and others.
These teams succeeded to arrest four gangsters identified as Shabir, Sheeraz Gilani, Ali Raza and Sajid Gilani. Police team recovered fourteen laptops, mobile phones, cameras and weapons from their possession. The nabbed criminals confessed during the preliminary investigation to strike in various houses situated in sectors F-7, F-8. F-10, I-8 and various cities including Rawalpindi, Mirpur Azad Kashmir, Lahore and Karachi. They revealed to take away gold ornaments, foreign currency and mobile phones after barging in various houses.Further investigation is underway from these nabbed persons and police is hopeful for more recovery from them. SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this performance and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for members of police team.
