ISLAMABAD: (APS) January 11, 2017– Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer Makhdoom Ali Khan has on Wednesday requested the court to make PM a party to the Panama case. However, the judges refused to do so as Justice Gulzar Ahmad said they didn’t have enough heart left to hear the long arguments of the other party yet again, reported APS News.

Beginning his arguments after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawyer Naeem Bukhari finished his, PM’s lawyer said that he will keep his arguments limited to PM only. He said that PTI chairman Imran Khan requested disqualification of PM Nawaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and PM’s son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar. The second plea was to recover looted money, laundered money and the property, he added. “It’s a general kind of plea. The third plea is to order National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to complete corruption cases’ investigations. That has got nothing to do with PM, again. Imran Khan asked the court to restrict the movement of PM’s children abroad. However, they didn’t give any arguments on this point. If a point is not stressed, it dies automatically according to the law”, he said.

PM’s lawyer asked if the petitioner only meant London apartments when they requested confiscation of the property with ‘question mark’ on it. Justice Asif Saeed Khosa responded to this saying that London apartments were going to be the main focus but no point will be left unfinished.

Makhdoom Ali Khan said that PM Nawaz Sharif’s name was not there in the London flats. “The people regarding whom the documents were submitted weren’t made the parties to the case. Now there’s only one way out of this; the court should make them party”. Jutsice Gulzar Ahmad replied to this saying that he didn’t have the courage to listen to the other party’s long arguments again. He refused to make PM a party to the case.

The hearing of Panama case has been postponed till tomorrow (Thursday). PM’s lawyer Makhdoom Ali Khan will resume his arguments tomorrow. • Free Website Templates - Downlaod Full Themes
