“We are hopeful for the future of Pakistan and new mega projects like China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Gowanda to change fate of country`s economy and bring prosperity and development in the country, said Lord Mayor Oldham UK, Ateeque Ur Rehman,while addressing the press conference along with President National Press Club (NPC) Islamabad, Shakeel Anjum and Ex. President Pakistan Union of Journalist (PFUJ) Muhammad Afzal Butt in “Meet the Press Program “ organized by National Press Club Islamabad here on Monday.
The Lord Mayor Oldham said that Kashmir dispute must be resolved for security of south Asia as well need to stop violence from the valley and will protect the basic political rights of the people belong from disputed territory.
“We need proper lobbying and sincere effort to highlight the Kashmir issue on the international forum to resolve through peaceful dialogue process, “ he said.
He added that peaceful negotiation and dialogue process is only solution to resolve the old issue of Kashmir, according to will and wish of Kashmiri people.
He said “We have enjoying all political and constitutional right in United Kingdom, they have proper system, which give due rights to every citizen without any religious, creed and couloirs discrimination.“
The government and people of the United Kingdom strongly condemned the any hate speech and propaganda against the minority on the basis of religious belief or race etc.
He said that developed countries are sustain through the system of accountability and fallowed the transparency mechanism to evolve social justice and equality in society.
He strongly condemned the terrorism and extremism at any part of the world and said only through education and tolerance “we can promote peace and development in all countries. “
The Lord Mayor said that unified approach need to fight against the terrorism and extremism in the world and need to discourage the elements who are involve in violence against the opponent for political gains and their wested interest.
Some people are playing spreading hate and segregation in society to get votes and divided the people and promote hate speech in the society, Ateeque said.
He said during the earth quack, floods and other natural catastrophes in Pakistan, “ we had supported the people with full zeal and zest for their revival and rehabilitation. “
President National Press Club, Islamabad, Shakeel Anjum well the guest of honor on the occasion and said that there is need for permanent for violable contact with expatriate Pakistanis in developed countries to achieve the diplomatic and economic objective of the country.
On the occasion, Former President Pakistan Union of Journalist (PFUJ) Muhammad Afzal Butt welcome the Lord Meyor Pldham in National Press Club and stressed the need for the coordination and better ties between the expatriate influential Pakistanis and Club.
