ISLAMABAD:(APS)APRIL 13,2016- Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan says Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has proceeded to London not for medical check-up but medical treatment.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday afternoon, he said the Prime Minister has cardiac problem for the last few months, and he has been getting treatment from London.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said the Prime Minister is not in the habit of sharing his health conditions with others, but he convinced Nawaz Sharif that the nation should know about his state of health and the treatment he is getting.
The Interior Minister regretted that some politicians, educated and civilized people and intellectuals are indulging in conjectures and doing politics on health conditions of the prime minister.
The Interior Minister also emphasized that the government is ready to issue any order to take the issue of Panama Papers to its logical conclusion.
He said the government contacted former chief justices and judges of the Supreme Court who enjoy impeccable reputation to head or become part of the Commission, but all of them declined due to politics of allegations. They included Justice Nasirul Mulk, Justice Tassaduq Jillani, Justice Amirul Mulk Mengal, Justice Sahir Ali and Justice Tanvir Khan.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said some elements are targeting Nawaz Sharif and his family to oust a democratically elected government through an undemocratic way, but nothing can be achieved through mayhem.
He invited the opposition parties to sit with the government and sort out the issue in an amicable way instead of creating disturbances.
To a question, the Interior Minister said the government has not stalled investigation into murder case of MQM leader Imran Farooq. He said the British authorities have formally sought cooperation from Pakistan in this regard.
Responding to another question, He said investigations are also continuing regarding arrest of Indian spy from Pakistan.
