ISLAMABAD:(APS)FEB 29-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reaffirmed the commitment to completely root out the menace of terrorism from the country.
Addressing the meeting of Council of Common Interests in Islamabad on Monday, he said our armed forces are winning the war on terror and the day is not far when this menace will be uprooted from the country.
He said the nation respects the sacrifices being rendered by our security forces in the war on terror.
Earlier, Council of Common Interests decided with consensus to reschedule the census due to pressing commitments of security forces and on going operations.
It decided that new dates for the census will be given after consultation with the stakeholders.Next meeting of the CCI will be held on the 25th of next month to discuss one item agenda of national flood protection plan.
A committee comprising Minister for Water and Power and Climate Change and four chief ministers will present a comprehensive plan on the matter.
The meeting approved an inquiry commission to fix responsibility on alleged irregularities in Kachi canal project.
Draft of Security and Exchange Commission Bill was also approved by the CCI.Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi briefed the participants on the import of Liquefied Natural Gas.
