ISLAMABAD:(APS)FEB 21,2016-Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid says government wants to move forward on the path of progress and development of the country and for this purpose initiated numerous projects.
He was talking to newsmen after attending the Orange Festival in Taxila on Sunday.
The Minister said the present government launched development projects in such a large number which were not initiated in the last sixty-five years. He said some of the projects have been completed and work on other are continuing.
Referring to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s recent statement regarding National Accountability Bureau, the Minister said it was aimed to point out hurdles in the way of development.
He said the Prime Minister also talked about other regularities authorities which delayed the process of decision making and resultantly development projects are delayed. He said these authorities should work with the required speed.
Meanwhile, addressing the closing session of a ceremony held to observe the International Mother Languages Day in Islamabad, he said state-society relations help in development and evolution of any society.
He said state derives its legitimacy through its interaction with society.
The Minister lauded the effective role of Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation and Pakistan Television for promoting culture in the country.
