ISLAMABAD: (APS) Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has expressed hope that newly elected government will be able to overcome economic challenges successfully.
In an interview with PTV tonight, he said the new government has embarked on a program of austerity to stop the wastage of national resources.
The Information Minister said the previous government purchased many expensive vehicles on the pretext of SAARC Conference and wasted valuable national exchequer.
On state run media, the Information Minister said a task force under Dr. Ishrat Hussain will be asked to suggest ways to increase coordination between Pakistan Television, Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation, Associated Press of Pakistan and Press Information Department as all four are working separately.
He said PBC has been asked to focus more on internet transmissions rather than using old transmitters.
