ISLAMABAD:(APS)APRIL 25,2016-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said his politics revolves around progress, development and prosperity of the country.
He was addressing a public meeting after distributing compensation cheques among affectees of recent rains and landslide in Kotli Sattian tehsil of Rawalpindi.
The Prime Minister said believes in service of the people and not sit-ins. He said PML (N) would bring about a positive change in the lives of the people as per commitments made in its manifesto.
Mian Nawaz Sharif said the country faced major challenges like terrorism and load-shedding when he assumed power three years back. There were country-wide demonstrations against the menace of load-shedding. The Prime Minister said load-shedding would be eliminated by 2018 as a result of energy projects initiated by the present government.
The Prime Minister said there has been reduction in incidents of terrorism and declared that his Government is committed to eliminate it at the earliest.
He said poverty too will have to be alleviated to overcome the menace of terrorism. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif referred to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and said it would benefit the entire country.
He said it is PML(N) which launched major communication projects in the country. These include a network of motorways to link different parts of the country. He said survey is underway for Muzaffarabad-Mirpur Motorway and it would be efforts of the government to link it with Kotli Sattian.
The Prime Minister said he wants tourism promotion in Kotli Sattian for progress and development of the area. He also announced construction of a modern hospital in Kotli Sattian, supply gas, provision of electricity to each house of the tehsil and early completion of Kahuti-Kulyari Road.
Meanwhile, talking to Senator Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said development of Balochistan is top priority of the government to bring it at par with rest of the country.
He said the government is focused on socio-economic uplift of the people of Balochistan.
Nawaz Sharif said Gwadar port city would generate employment opportunities for the residents and also help reduce poverty.
Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo supported Prime Minister’s decision regarding formation of Judicial Commission.
He lauded the Prime Minister for initiating massive infrastructure development projects and welfare schemes for the people of Balochistan.
He said the ongoing development projects and welfare schemes across the Province would bring a revolution in the lives of the residents of Balochistan.
