ISLAMABAD:(APS)MARCH 10,2016-Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan says Pakistan cricket team will not visit India till receipt of clear and public guarantee of security by the Indian government.
Talking to newsmen in Islamabad on Thursday afternoon, he said attitude of BCCI and ICC is positive but they have nothing to do with the security.
He said the security has to be provided by the Indian Government.
The Interior Minister said despite tense environment the Government has decided to send cricket team to India but unabated threats are being hurled and allegations levelled. These threats are Pakistan-specific and have to be taken seriously by Pakistan government.
He said it is responsibility of the Government to ensure security and safety of the player.
About statement of MQM leader Sarfraz Merchant, about money laundering, the Interior Minister said an FIA Committee has been constituted to look into its different aspects and report within two weeks.
He said anyone having concrete evidence on issues involved can contact the Committee.
Meanwhile, IG Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Major General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood and DG Anti-Narcotics Force Major General Nasir Dilawar separately called on Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in Islamabad on Thursday.
The Interior Minister appreciated the sacrifices rendered by the Frontier Corps for law and order in FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said the country also achieved major successes in the fight against illegal drug trafficking.
