31 police and 60 protesters injured,Fire brigade torched including metro station


ISLAMABAD (APS) March 27, 2016– 23 police and 8 Rangers officials were seriously injured during clashes between protesters and police. While the 60 protesters were injured.

Demonstrators is burned  a fire brigade vehicle of CDA  including metro station near D-Chowk Islamabad.

The Triple One Brigade of Pakistan Army has reached and taken control of security of the Red Zone area in Islamabad to control the law and order situation in the federal capital.

The charged crowd comprising thousands of demonstrators from Mumtaz Qadri’s chehlum had stormed and torched various places in Islamabad before finally breaching the Red Zone area. The Army was called in after the situation got out of control of the police and Rangers.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army has reached and taken control to guard the Red Zone area.

The charged mob had torched various areas in Blue Area and staged sit-in at D-Chowk where the administration negotiated with the demonstrators.

The demonstrators stated they won’t leave until their demands are met.
